Transfer and Sharing of Data Between Coupled Multiphysics Phenomena During Simulations: The Phenomenon Computational Pattern

چکیده
Simulation of natural phenomena, such as temperature and air flow distribution inside a room, evolution of material damage due to mechanical and chemical loads, are crucial in the daily life of engineers. This paper presents the Computational Phenomenon Pattern, whose objective is to standardize through computational abstraction the complex interactions of coupled natural phenomena in the context of the Finite Element Method. The pattern makes it intuitive and easier the representation of data sharing and dependence between different coupled phenomena when developing simulators based on the Finite Element Method. The pattern models natural phenomena data, the involved processes and their relationships, which are used in a typical simulation process.

Metals casting is a process governed by the interaction of a range of physical phenomena. Most Computational models of this process address only what are conventionally regarded as the primary phenomena-heat conduction and solidiication. However , to predict phenomena such as poros-ity requires modelling the interaction of the uid ow, heat transfer, solidiication and the development of stress-d...

In this article three dimensional modeling of a planar solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) was investigated. The main objective was to attain the optimized cell operation. SOFC operation simulation involves a large number of parameters, complicated equations, (mostly partial differential equations), and a sophisticated simulation technique; hence, a finite element method (FEM) multiphysics approach ...
متن کاملMultiphase flow and tromp curve simulation of dense medium cyclones using Computational Fluid Dynamics
Dense Medium Cyclone is a high capacity device that is widely used in coal preparation. It is simple in design but the swirling turbulent flow, the presence of medium and coal with different density and size fraction and the presence of the air-core make the flow pattern in DMCs complex. In this article the flow pattern simulation of DMC is performed with computational fluid dynamics and Fluent...
